Camp Summary / First Night Practice

Posted Tuesday, September 01, 2009 by Duane Maranda
Athletes and Parents,
We are all back from camp.  Some sore, some a little sick, but all know more about football and more importantly more about one another.  Camp was a big success.  The National Guard course tested our boy’s problem solving and teamwork skills on Friday.  Saturday turned up wet but our boys overcame it and had positive practices.  Sunday was more football and some very funny skits put on by the boys at night (Kniska definitely has a flair for the dramatics).  Monday we wrapped things up on the field and held our annual water Olympics where our Seniors won the overall gold medal.
There is no way camp would have been possible without Mrs. Alicata and all of the volunteers that helped her in the camp kitchen.  I want to thank Mrs. Alicata again and also all of her volunteers for doing a great job feeding our boys three times each day.
Tonight is our first night practice.  We will be on our practice field at 5:40 to begin practice.  Practice concludes at 8 pm.  Our scrimmage vs. NFA begins at 4:00 pm on Wednesday.

Thank you again to all of you who helped out over the weekend.  We have a strong program because of volunteers such as you.
